The ‘Hobbit House’ (so called because of its unique low front door) is set in the beautiful pub garden grounds. Recently refurbished in greys and creams, with splashes of red, the rooms reflect the beauty of the Victoria Inn pub.
We offer two rooms – one double and one twin – both are en-suite with shower rooms. The quirkiness and individuality of the Hobbit House accommodation offers respite from today’s busy world within the heart of Salcombe, only twenty steps from our great bar and restaurant.
Comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, television with CD and DVD player, heated towel rails, fluffy towels and hairdryers will ensure everything you need is to hand.
Prices are for rooms only but, being in the heart of Salcombe, you are only a few steps away from a great breakfast at one of many local cafes and restaurants.
Unfortunately, while dogs are welcome in the pub, for the comfort of all of our guests we cannot accommodate dogs in the Hobbit House.
Please bear the following in mind before booking:
The Hobbit House is designed to offer a uniquely quirky experience in the centre of our bustling seaside town. Set in the gardens, the accommodation is up a short flight of iron steps, which means the rooms may be unsuitable for the elderly and /or infirm. It also has a really low door entrance - which doesn't get bigger the more you have to drink........!!
The twin room is situated above our cellar, so please expect some noise during opening hours and times of cellar use. This may bother you if you are a very light sleeper but guests have told us the local seagulls make more noise above than anything coming from below!
As both rooms share the same heating system, you may experience fluctuations in water pressure and temperature if both en-suites are in use at the same time. Lastly, as with most of our beautiful coastal towns, parking is at an absolute premium in Salcombe. However, we are lucky enough to be situated directly opposite the only short, one hour stay/overnight car park in the centre of the town, while longer term car parking is less than a ten minute walk from the Victoria Inn.
Prices are from £40 to £70 per room per night with NO single occupancy reduction.
