Great pub food
At the Victoria Inn, we recognise that first and foremost we’re a pub, but we are justifiably proud of our reputation for great food.
We source the best local ingredients wherever possible – keeping the preparation and cooking of them relatively simple, producing bags of flavour and taste on the plate. There’s nothing too frilly or fancy – just good honest wholesome cooking!
Our Executive Chef, James Chapman works hard with his team to make sure that our menu reflects the fact we are by the sea and yet close to the country – so great fish dishes and fabulous cuts of meat will always grace our menus. We don’t forget vegetarians either and always have several unique and interesting options on the menu. We also cater for customers with food allergies or other special dietary requirements and much of our menu can be made Gluten Free - Just ask!.
We have a great, regularly changing ‘Specials Board’ with exciting meat, game, poultry, fish and shellfish creations. Our cheeses are generally West Country in origin and represent the best available from a number of local suppliers, and most of our desserts are homemade and delicious.
Our Sunday lunches are the very best in the South Hams area and we always offer a choice of two roasted meats, usually; Sirloin of Beef and Loin of Pork with plenty of fabulous Roast Potatoes, home made Yorkshire Puds, roast Parsnips, plenty of fresh Vegetables, and a gravy youll be asking the recipe for!
Bookings are highly recommended especially for Sunday lunch and at peak season times.
